If blogging or web design isn’t a hobby of yours, skip this post. For the rest of you, I have quasi-huge announcement to make: I have decided to switch to using WordPress for my site. I had to learn a few more things about using CSS for the design, but I’m starting to see how much more flexible this will be. I have taken a template and made a few changes, and am very pleased with how it has turned out. Recently, I noticed that Chris Trent, and old friend of mine had switched to TypePad and overhauled his blog, so I decided to take the plunge and switch to WordPress, which I have been considering for a while.
Blogger was a great way to start out, but now I’m able to use more of the power that my web host gives me. In the months ahead I look to add some features that will hopefully make this site a little more interesting to visit, and will have more regular updates.
For now, the “guestbook” and “contact” page are dead, but the “recommended reading” is functional (minus a few images and in need of an update).
