“Out of love for the truth and the desire to bring it to light, the following propositions will be discussed at Wittenberg, under the presidency of the Reverend Father Martin Luther, Master of Arts and of Sacred Theology…. Wherefore he requests that those who are unable to be present and debate orally with us, may do so by letter.”
– Martin Luther, on October 31, 1517, from the introduction to his Ninety-Five Theses in which he singlehandedly challenged the established power base of Christianity by directly addressing the abuses and corruption that existed.
What a badass.
I have the entire thesis, or all the theses, if you prefer… yes, all 95 of them… tattooed on my right arm… in very, very tiny Old German font… in hopes that it makes me a badass too. Score??? #neo_Re_formed
It does make you a badass, but I gotta tell you: Those small font tattoos don’t pass the test of time. 🙂
No tatoo here. But a deep thankfulness for Martin Luther. Well done, good and faithful servant.
