Write A Six-Word Memoir

Ian Cron posted today about Smith magazine’s six-word memoir project which challenges you to sum up your life story in six words. I love the idea! Here’s mine:

Shot first. Questions later. Still wondering.

With mine, I tried to encapsulate the way much of my life has been filled with experiences, good and bad, that were a result of decisions I made impulsively. I am certainly more comfortable on the thinking side of the thinking/feeling scale, but sometimes I do a lot of my thinking on the back end.

As I continue to ask questions about past experiences and future possibilities, I haven’t lost the sense of wonder about what God is up to. I’m amazed by his creative work in the world around us and in the people he has brought into my life. Krista and Jude both amaze me on a regular basis; I am so blessed to have my family!

Here’s the link to Cron’s post about the six-word memoir. Create one and add it to the comments of his post and if yours is the favorite you’ll win a $25 iTunes gift card.

By the way, my good friend Brian has read his latest book, Jesus, My Father, The CIA, and Me, and highly recommends it. It’s on my list.
